Introduction
The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced the expansion of the Honhar Scholarship Program. With a strong focus on empowering talented but underprivileged students, the program aims to provide full financial support to deserving youth across the province.
Program Highlights
In the newly launched Phase II of the Honhar Scholarship Program, the government has allocated Rs 4 billion to support 30,000 students each year. Over the next four years, the initiative is expected to benefit more than 120,000 students.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet the following conditions:
- Must be under 22 years of age
- Must have a domicile of Punjab
- Parental income should not exceed Rs 300,000 per month
Fields and Institutions Covered
The scholarship will cover full tuition fees in 68 different disciplines. Students enrolled in the following institutions are eligible:
- 65 Public Universities
- 12 Medical and Dental Colleges
- 359 Government Colleges across Punjab
The fields include medicine, engineering, IT, social sciences, arts, business, and more.
How to Apply
Students will soon be able to apply online. The Punjab Government will launch a dedicated portal for applications. Interested candidates should regularly check the official website of the Punjab Education Department for updates.

تعارف
پنجاب کی وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف نے ہونہار اسکالرشپ پروگرام کا دوسرا مرحلہ شروع کرنے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ اس اسکیم کا مقصد ہونہار مگر معاشی طور پر کمزور طلباء کو تعلیمی معاونت فراہم کرنا ہے تاکہ وہ اپنے تعلیمی خوابوں کو حقیقت میں بدل سکیں۔
پروگرام کی تفصیلات
پروگرام کے فیز 2 میں پنجاب حکومت نے 4 ارب روپے کا بجٹ مختص کیا ہے جس کے تحت ہر سال 30 ہزار طلباء کو اسکالرشپ دی جائے گی۔ چار سالوں میں اس سے مجموعی طور پر 1 لاکھ 20 ہزار سے زائد طلباء مستفید ہوں گے۔
اہلیت کے اصول
اسکالرشپ حاصل کرنے کے لیے درج ذیل شرائط لازم ہیں:
- عمر 22 سال سے کم ہو
- پنجاب کا ڈومیسائل ہونا چاہیے
- والدین کی ماہانہ آمدنی 3 لاکھ روپے سے کم ہو
ادارے اور مضامین
یہ اسکالرشپ 68 مختلف مضامین میں مکمل فیس کی ادائیگی فراہم کرے گی، جن میں شامل ہیں:
- 65 سرکاری یونیورسٹیاں
- 12 میڈیکل اور ڈینٹل کالجز
- 359 گورنمنٹ کالجز
اسکالرشپ کے تحت طب، انجینئرنگ، آئی ٹی، سوشل سائنسز، بزنس، اور دیگر اہم مضامین میں تعلیم حاصل کرنے والے طلباء کو فائدہ ہوگا۔

جلد ہی ایک آن لائن پورٹل کے ذریعے درخواستیں وصول کی جائیں گی۔ امیدواروں کو مشورہ دیا جاتا ہے کہ وہ محکمہ تعلیم پنجاب کی آفیشل ویب سائٹ پر اپ ڈیٹس پر نظر رکھیں۔
